Thank you for considering adopting an orphan from The Catty Shack Cat Rescue!

We are so thankful you are interested in one our cats!

You will be making 10-20 year commitment to the cat you adopt and our goal is to help make the best match possible for you and the orphaned cat you are interested in.

This questionnaire will help us achieve that goal and is not intended to offend or delay the process of adoption. It is in the best interest of both YOU and the pet. It also protects YOU, the pet and our rescue in the legal system.

A home visit by a Catty Shack Staff member is a requirement for adoption.

The reasoning is that, unfortunately, animal hoarding is a serious illness and patients often disguise themselves as absolutely normal upstanding members of society to obtain more animals. It must be confirmed that your home is clean of excessive debris, pests, and other animals to adopt a Catty Shack cat.

Please bear with us, it is a slight inconvenience in exchange for a lifetime of love. Both law enforcement and other animal rescue references are available for any person The Catty Shack has perform a home visit.

Adopters must meet certain criteria to adopt. The Catty Shack reserves the right to deny anyone if that criteria is not met or we feel the adoption is not in the best interest of the cat/kittens.
